Socio-Cultural Management Journal <p>“Socio-Cultural Management Journal” is a peer-reviewed open access scientific journal, which covers current issues of theory and history of the art of management and practical aspects of its organization in the socio-cultural sphere.</p> <p>The journal presents a completely new managerial and cultural direction of research, focused on philosophical and scientific understanding and practical improvement of the art of management in the organization of the life of society, which distinguishes the presented journal from many other scientific journals of managerial profile.</p> <p>The purpose of the journal is competent coverage of fundamental and practically significant scientific achievements of professors, teachers, researchers, doctoral students, postgraduate students, students, as well as managers-practitioners, both directly in Ukraine and countries near and far abroad all whose scientific, corporate and professional interests include issues of socio-cultural activities management.</p> <p>This is a scientific platform for the ideas and views exchange on trends in the theory and practice of the art of socio-cultural management in Ukraine and the world.</p> <p>Given that the direction of the journal's research is completely new, the editorial board aims to spread the journal's ideas to different continents and countries around the world, focusing on the principles of transparency and best practices for scientific publications.</p> <p>The scientific journal was founded in 2018 as the “Bulletin of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. Series in Management of Socio-Cultural Activities”. In 2020, it was renamed the “Socio-Cultural Management Journal”.</p> <p>The journal is included in category “B” of the List of scientific professional publications of Ukraine in the field of science “Cultural Studies” in the specialty 028 “Management of Socio-Cultural Activities” (order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No.1643 from 28.12.2019).</p> <p>There are two regular sections in the journal, intended for the publication of original theoretical and empirical scientific articles: “Theory, History, Culture and Art of Management”; “Practical Aspects of Socio-Cultural Management”. These sections are basic and mandatory for each issue of the journal.</p> <p>In addition to original scientific articles, which are the basis and priority of the journal, the journal may publish review scientific articles, as well as analytical reviews of scientific events (conferences, seminars, round tables) and reviews of important monographs and educational materials. Scientific analysis was performed using methods of analysis and synthesis; identification; structural and functional modeling; abstract-logical; calculation and analytical; system (system approach and system analysis); tabular; graphic; trend methods; method of statistical and comparative analysis. <em>Results.</em> The article analyzes the current problems of professional competence identification of managers of socio-cultural activities in the subject field of their future profession. Generalizing concepts, status and trends in the specialty “Management of socio-cultural activities” are considered at the general scientific and practical levels. <em>Conclusions.</em> Proper and clear understanding of the competence structure and content of training will help determine the role and place of future professionals in the socio-cultural sphere of the country. Specifically, the innovative museum technologies in the mix with modern management will guarantee the timely museum reaction on public requirements. A discrepancy in the instrumentation in its turn causes great reducing the level of attractiveness for modern user of museum services. <em>Purpose and methods.</em> The purpose of the study is the analysis of using facilities in innovative management sphere of museum institutions activities and its influence on museum industry development in context of culturally-educational museums activities. In order to solve the problem of research was used traditional complex of general scientific principles (determinism, reflection, unity of opposites) and methods (analysis and synthesis, systematic and structural, interrogation, content-analysis, observation, statistical).<em> Results</em>. This article presents the characteristic of concept “innovative management”. A special innovative management toolbox was found and it can also provide the background for some modernization in Ukrainian museum industry. Research results are confirmed by sociological survey based on theme “What would you like to see as a modern local history museum?”. <em>Conclusions and discussions.</em> Preservation of historical materials, popularization of knowledge, attraction wide circle of visitors – all these are the goals of any museum activity with the support of innovative management technologies. The use of innovative management has its nuances. It demands some researches and practical steps in the socio-cultural space development. The basic principles of effective development of modern socio-cultural space, based on the values of trust and social cohesion, are considered in the article. Modern geopolitical processes at the epicenter of which Ukraine is, its complex and uncertain reality in the socio-cultural sphere, and poses multifactorial problems that require thorough educational and scientific research. <em>Purpose and methods.</em> One of the main task is to research in which way the values of trust and, accordingly, social cohesion to be manifested in the social cultural space. The model of social cohesion and methods of its measurement are considered. The article applies the historical method and method of system analysis to outline the main features of European values, in particular, trust and social cohesion in the socio-cultural space of Ukrainian society. <em>Results</em>. The model of social cohesion and methods of its measurement are considered. Also various concepts and manifestations of trust as a factor of social cohesion in the contemporary socio-cultural space are considered. <em>Conclusions</em>. This research reflects and proves the confident role of education in the development of social cohesion of communities at the different dimensions of socio-cultural space. The article investigated the effective socio-cultural communications that shape the social cultural space is based on the values of trust and social cohesion. Certain challenges of today require not only research, but also practical methods of implementation, development of trust and social cohesion in communities at the different levels of socio-cultural space. The organization of the socio-cultural sphere is no exception. Practice shows that those organizations that implement management technologies on the basis of an innovative approach will be able to succeed in the new economic conditions. <em>Purpose and methods.</em> The purpose of the article is to identify current trends in the use of innovative approaches in the process of managing art projects. Empirical and systemic approaches, methods of analysis and synthesis for the study of innovative processes in the socio-cultural sphere were used in the exploration. <em>Results.</em> The main results of the study are to identify the need for an innovative approach in the activities of the manager of the socio-cultural sphere and the use of modern technologies in the management of art projects. <em>Conclusions.</em> In the modern socio-cultural sphere, further development of scientific provisions on the importance of innovative approach in the management of art projects, to complement the nature of the manager, his creative and professional competencies, taking into account cultural and artistic needs, comprehensive perception of modern realities and the general public. In the future, in our opinion, research on the technology of managing art projects in socio-cultural organizations on the basis of an innovative approach will be considered. The topicality of the article’ topic is due to the growing need for methodological and technological development of systems analysis in the transition of mankind to the information age, the complexity of social relations and the predominance of unsystematic, fragmentary thinking of modern managers. Purpose and methods. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the theoretical and methodological principles and practical recommendations for the implementation of systematic analysis in socio-cultural management. The methodological basis of the study is the dialectical principle of cognition, systemic, historical, cultural, philosophical, organizational, cybernetic and synergetic approaches to the study of organizational phenomena and processes. Results. The basic theoretical concepts of system analysis have been analyzed. The essence, role, significance of systematics and system analysis in the modern man’s life and society have been revealed. The methodology of system analysis as a unique form of cognition in socio-cultural management has been substantiated. The types of system analysis have been determined, which allows forming a holistic view of the possible directions of its implementation in the management of socio-cultural activities. The technology of conducting a systematic analysis of objects and problem situations in socio-cultural management has been developed. Conclusions. The means of expanding these boundaries is the philosophy of science. As for management, it is the philosophy of management as its Meta science. According to the author’s article, the management philosophy, in addition to expanding the boundaries of knowledge, will cope with the eclectic danger that threatens management today as a science. However, the philosophy of management in fact has not yet developed. <em>Purpose and methods.</em> The purpose of the article is to develop scientific and philosophical approaches to understanding the socio-cultural essence of management. The methodological basis of the study is the dialectical principle of cognition, systemic, historical and philosophical approaches to the study of organizational phenomena and processes in society. <em>Results.</em> Basic scientific concepts and philosophical ideas of management have been analyzed. The content of the scientific approach (sub science of management) on understanding the management nature as a socio-cultural phenomenon has been revealed and the limitations of cognitive possibilities of this approach are shown. The essence of the philosophical approach (meta science of management) to understanding the management nature has been clarified, which, in comparison with the scientific approach, significantly expands the limits of cognition. Emphasis is placed on the need to build management models taking into account national traditions of culture and mentality, which can become not only a condition for effective management practice, but also a long-term factor in the unification of the country. <em>Conclusions.</em> The scientific novelty of the research results lies in the deepening of scientific and philosophical understanding of the socio-cultural essence of modern management. Ukrainian sphere of culture needs clear and transparent support from Government during the pandemic. For this purpose all producers of cultural products must be identified in the structure of cultural and creative industries. <em>Purpose</em><em> and methods</em>.<strong> </strong>The purpose of the article is to clarify the meaning of the concept of cultural product in the context of an interdisciplinary approach, given the interpretation of this concept in various fields of scientific knowledge and governmental-institutional practices at national and international levels, to develop recommendations for the use of the concept cultural product in legislative activity in Ukraine. The methodological basis of the study is the interdisciplinary, systematic and legal approaches. <em>Results. </em>The cultural product is the output of cultural industries. The sphere of culture defined as a set of cultural industries according to B. Miege, D. Throsby and EU Resolutions. Cultural industries are the main producers of cultural products (goods, services, events). Сultural product contains cultural value (M. Hutter, D. Throsby, B. Frey),which creates meaning and engages the consumer in cultural participation (P. Sacco). Сultural producers have different forms of ownership and act as cultural entrepreneurs, which produce for commercial purpose, not only for cultural purpose (music industry, tourism industry, festival industry etc). But the cultural production of meanings is the basis for cultural industries. <em>Conclusions</em>. Scientific novelty of the research results is to distinguish two approaches for the concept of cultural product: value based and legal based. The practical significance of the obtained results<strong> </strong>is in the possible use by the legislative and executive authorities of different levels for further improvement of legislation in the field of culture, the development of a strategy for providing financial assistance to entrepreneurs in the field of culture during the pandemic.
