Socio-Cultural Management Journal <p>“Socio-Cultural Management Journal” is a peer-reviewed open access scientific journal, which covers current issues of theory and history of the art of management and practical aspects of its organization in the socio-cultural sphere.</p> <p>The journal presents a completely new managerial and cultural direction of research, focused on philosophical and scientific understanding and practical improvement of the art of management in the organization of the life of society, which distinguishes the presented journal from many other scientific journals of managerial profile.</p> <p>The purpose of the journal is competent coverage of fundamental and practically significant scientific achievements of professors, teachers, researchers, doctoral students, postgraduate students, students, as well as managers-practitioners, both directly in Ukraine and countries near and far abroad all whose scientific, corporate and professional interests include issues of socio-cultural activities management.</p> <p>This is a scientific platform for the ideas and views exchange on trends in the theory and practice of the art of socio-cultural management in Ukraine and the world.</p> <p>Given that the direction of the journal's research is completely new, the editorial board aims to spread the journal's ideas to different continents and countries around the world, focusing on the principles of transparency and best practices for scientific publications.</p> <p>The scientific journal was founded in 2018 as the “<strong><a href="" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Bulletin of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts. Series in Management of Socio-Cultural Activities</a></strong>”. In 2020, it was renamed the “Socio-Cultural Management Journal”.</p> <p>The journal is included in category “B” of the List of scientific professional publications of Ukraine in the field of science “Cultural Studies” in the specialty 028 “Management of Socio-Cultural Activities” (order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No.1643 from 28.12.2019).</p> <p>There are two regular sections in the journal, intended for the publication of original theoretical and empirical scientific articles: “Theory, History, Culture and Art of Management”; “Practical Aspects of Socio-Cultural Management”. These sections are basic and mandatory for each issue of the journal.</p> <p>In addition to original scientific articles, which are the basis and priority of the journal, the journal may publish review scientific articles, as well as analytical reviews of scientific events (conferences, seminars, round tables) and reviews of important monographs and educational materials. However, despite desperate efforts, the vast majority of people do not succeed. This is because people do not understand what success is, its essential basis, and ways to achieve it. At the same time, the cardinal changes that are taking place today under the globalization influence necessitate a new understanding of this phenomenon's nature.<em> Purpose and methods.</em> The purpose of the article is a theoretical and philosophical analysis of the success phenomenon and identification of causal patterns of its achievement in the socio-cultural management of post-industrial society. The methodological basis of the study is the dialectical principle of cognition, systemic, metaphysical, culturological, psychological, organizational approaches to the study of behavioral processes in management. <em>Results.</em> The existing methodological approaches to the study of the phenomenon of success in the life of an individual and society as a whole are considered. The essence of success as a socio-cultural motivator of human activity and the driving force of management is revealed. Existential types of success and mechanisms of its achievement are defined. The most important personal qualities of the individual are revealed, which guarantee success in the role of a manager. The modern paradigm of management pedagogy is substantiated, with orientation on successful managers’ preparation. <em>Conclusions. </em>The scientific novelty of the research results is to deepen the understanding of the nature of the success phenomenon and the peculiarities of its achievement in the conditions of complicated social relations, uncertainty, and turbulence. The significance of the study is manifested in the addition of management science to new ideas about success as a driving force in management, as well as in the possibility of using these ideas in the process of training business organizations managers.</p> Yelena Kovalenko Copyright (c) 2021 Yelena Kovalenko Sun, 27 Jun 2021 00:00:00 +0000 Innovative Potential of Modern Cultural Strategies: Ukrainian Context <p><em>Introduction. </em>The creative and cultural industries have made significant adjustments to the modern world economic processes, which provokes an increased interest in the cultural sphere in general and in the cultural strategy in particular. <em>Purpose and methods.</em> The purpose of the article is to identify the innovative potential of culture in modern conditions and its implementation ways through cultural strategies and creative industries, both in the universal and in the Ukrainian context. The methodological basis of the study was the systemic-structural method, the method of formal-logical research, analysis, the comparative method, the system-thought-activity methodology, and the deconstructive approach. <em>Results.</em> An integrated approach to culture allows considering it as an open space for the interaction of people, ethnic groups, nations that are the subjects of economic, political, and cultural innovation. Cultural development is represented through vertical-horizontal interactions between cultural strategy, cultural policy, and creative industries. <em>Conclusions.</em> The Ukrainian State is currently rethinking the role of culture in general and cultural strategy in particular, facing the problem of forming an integral Ukrainian-oriented space. The new approach to the structure of culture includes not institutions, but the creators and consumers of the cultural product, who initiate a single cultural space creation. That allows identifying the innovative potential of culture and cultural strategy. Purpose and methods</em>. The purpose of the article is to determine the cognitive and stylistic features of the manager's personality, substantiate their role in his professional formation and development in the learning environment. The methodological basis is the principles of scientific knowledge (determinism, system, development), the provisions of activity, system, and personality-oriented approaches. <em>Results.</em> The researchers systematized scientific approaches to the cognitive styles’ definition, substantiated their role in professional development and manager's personality development. Cognitive styles are defined as cognition strategies, cognitive-stylistic dimension of personality, which determines the ways of setting and solving problems, decision-making and goal-setting. The psychological parameters and characteristics of cognitive-stylistic features are singled out, the factors of cognitive-stylistic development of the manager's personality in the training conditions are determined. <em>Conclusions.</em> The scientific novelty consists in concepts’ definition of professional formation cognitive-stylistic component and the manager's personality development and in highlighting the optimal parameters and characteristics of cognitive styles for its successful functioning. With the implementation of innovative digital technologies into the work of archival institutions, the state and society will have the opportunity to expand their access to the informational base, and the use of modern methods will help them to get the most objective and authentic information for the state, society and scientific regulation, open the additional resources for analyzing the information wealth of archival funds. <em>Purpose and methods.</em> The purpose of the research is the modernization process implementation analysis of Ukrainian archival space based on means and instruments of archival institutions digitization through the prism of state policy. To solve the problem of the research, a traditional set of general scientific principles (determinism, reflection, unity of opposites) and methods (analysis and synthesis, systematic and structural, questionnaire, content analysis, observation, statistical) were used.<em> Results</em>. The article describes the normative tools as an element of state regulation of archival space digitalization in Ukraine. Archival digitalization elements in the context of modernization transformations of society and the state were analyzed. The results of the study are confirmed by a sociological survey on the topic: “Do we need the digitalization of the archives?”. <em>Conclusions.</em> The whole way of archival industry development shows that the main contradiction in archival activity is tracing to traditional and innovational methods of archives work. These changes will provide new opportunities for high-quality cross-border information interaction of library with users, simplify access to library resources and services simplify access to library resources and services and, as a result, promotes a positive image, improve the libraries’ quality and efficiency. The methodological basis of the study is the dialectical principle of cognition, systemic, historical, terminological, cognitive, cultural approaches to the study of management processes of socio-cultural activities of the library during the period of information and communication changes in society.<em> Results.</em> The existing approaches to the terminology field of library science in different historical periods are systematized. The libraries’ role and functions in the socio-cultural development of the individual are studied. Traditional and innovative types of activity in the central library system “Svichado” are determined, their efficiency is investigated. That is why the question of socio-cultural sphere management has become very significant. Due to the manager's involvement in this process, whose activity content is in managing and expanding cultural values and cultural product production, there is a necessity for innovative methods identification in socio-cultural activity managers' professional training. <em>Purpose and methods.</em> In the research process, general scientific methods as analysis, synthesis, systematization, and generalization of theoretical principles have been used, as well as specific scientific methods of terminological analysis, retrospective, biographical, comparison, concretization and classification, and empirical methods of discussion and pedagogical observation.&nbsp; <em>Results.</em> The importance of situational tasks as a dominant organizational form of socio-cultural activity managers' training has been clarified. Topics of situational tasks have been developed, which have been formed in the blocks. Situational tasks types have been characterized: “on the mobile decision”, “on decision choice”, “on data analysis”, “example tasks”, “on justification”, “on abilities and skills formation”, “on argumentative decision”, “on decision taken analysis”, “on information search”, “on complication”, “on algorithm production” and “on foresight”.
